Ghanaian Spring Rolls

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp plain flour
  • 4 tbsp Mixed veggies
  • 1 tbsp margarine
  • 1 meduim sized chicken breast chopped already
  • 1 egg white
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 stock cube
  • vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp gravy powder

Instructions

  • Pour your plain flour into a mixing bowl and then add your salt to taste. Now add your margarine. Add a few drops of vegetable oil and then mix them well with your hands.
  • Add a half cup of cold water and mix again to make a soft dough
  • Put your saucepan on the fire and add about 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Add some onions and fry for 1 minute
  • Now add your chopped chicken breast. Allow it to cook through for about 3-5 minutes and add some water to it to make it saucy. Add some little gravy powder to it to thicken the sauce.
  • Once it is done, the fire off and make it cool down.
  • Get a chopping board and a rolling pin take the dough and roll it on the chopping board until it's flat and light and cut the dough into preferred sizes
  • Use the egg white as a sticking agent with a pastry brush, and brush the eggs white over the dough.
  • Now with a spoon, fill in each dough with the cooked sauce
  • Fill all the doughs and fold them nicely. Make sure the ends are tucked in well.
  • Now put your frying pan on fire and heat the oil until it is very hot. This will prevent the oil from sogging the spring rolls.
  • Now put the spring rolls inside and fry them until they turn golden brown
  • Continue this until you are done frying all your delicious spring rolls are ready.
