How To Be Happy

You just have one life to live on earth. Don’t live your life being unhappy everyday. You deserve to be happy. You deserve all the happiness in the world. One thing you have to know is that no one can make you happy. You are the only one who can make you happy. Here are 5 easy ways to be happy.

ACCEPT YOURSELF

This is the first and most important step in being genuinely happy. You can only learn to love yourself after you’ve accepted yourself for who you are. So whether you are light-skinned or dark-skinned, short or tall, slim or fat, accept yourself for who you are. Don’t be so hard on yourself.

Don’t criticize yourself. That is only going to make you insecure. Show yourself some love. Accept your flaws. Know that your imperfections and perfections all make you who you are. Look in the mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful and you love yourself. Once you accept yourself, you will feel much more confident and be happy with yourself.

DON’T COMPARE OR COMPLAIN

Stop comparing yourself to others. Trust the timing of your life. Be content with what you have. You have a lot to be thankful for. Comparing yourself to others is only going to make you feel as you aren’t good enough.

No matter where you are in life, there’s always going to be someone above you. There’s always going to be someone richer than you. The same way you are richer than someone. Comparing and complaining is not going to change anything. It’s only going to make you bitter and sad.

Now with social media, you see old friends and classmates post stuff and it makes you feel sad about your life. Trust me, nobody’s life is 100% perfect. We are all just picture perfect.

You only see the side of their lives they want you to see. Your life may actually be better than most of these people. So don’t compare yourself to anyone. Be content with your life and trust that everything will be okay with you.

 

LET GO ANYONE OR ANYTHING THAT BRINGS YOU DOWN

Life is too short to be stuck in an unhealthy relationship. Quit that job that makes you unhappy. Let go anyone that makes you feel inferior or like you aren’t good enough. Positive vibes only. LET GO THE PAST

Someone offended you? Something bad happened? Let it all go. You have no control over the past. What is done is done and that’s alright. You need to accept that the past can not be changed and let it go.

Living in the past is not going to do anything good for you. It is just going to make you sad and you can’t even enjoy all the amazing things in your life right now. Take a page from Elsa – let it go.

We all find ourselves thinking of something that happened in the past sometimes. But when you do, learn from what happened. Let the past teach you what you shouldn’t do. Don’t live in the past. Don’t let the past affect your now and your tomorrow.

FOCUS ON SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU HAPPY

This can be anything. A career, a hobby, family or friends. Whatever it is, focus on that. Don’t think of things that make you unhappy. Don’t spend time doing things that make you sad. Whatever makes you happy, whatever makes your heart smile – make room for that. Do that. Give it your all.

Once you start doing these things, you will be very happy with your life.
