When most people decorate their home, they turn their attention to main rooms like the kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedrooms. However, you forget about one major part of the home; the entrance hall!
Think about it, this is the part of your house that people will see before anything else. As soon as you open your front door they’ll be greeted to your hall – and it needs to impress!
Something as simple as natures melody chimes, will not just make your hallway look stunning, it will also produce a fine tune that will create a welcoming ambience for your guests.
Creating the perfect entrance hall is easier than you think, keep reading for more ideas to try out in your home.
How to create the perfect entrance hall
Hang some art on the wall
The walls in your entrance hall can play a massive role in how good the hall actually looks. If they’re too bare, then this can create an almost empty and soulless feel in your home – which you don’t want.
Likewise, over clutter them with family photos, and it can be a bit too much. Instead, think about hanging some delightful art on the wall to convey a sense of class and style.
There are some really gorgeous Palecek wall arts that might look great in your home. The key to choosing the right art is to know your interior design style.
If you have a contemporary home, then get modern art. If your design is more rustic, then find something that reflects that!
Get rid of any clutter
The best way to create a bad first impression is to have loads of clutter in your entrance hall. No guests want to open your door and be greeted with shoes, clothes, and goodness knows what else all over the place.
If you want to create the perfect entrance hall, then one of the first steps is getting rid of any clutter. Free up loads of space, and this does two things. One, it just makes your entrance hall look a lot better and cleaner.
Two, it gives the illusion that your hallway is bigger than it actually is. This can help create a feeling of grandeur that impresses all guests.
Lay down a runner
If you don’t know what a runner is, then it’s basically just a term for long rugs/mats that you put on the floor. They’re ideal for entrance halls as they’re so long that it almost gives the same effect as rolling out the red carpet for your guests!
The main reason you should lay down one of these is to add a touch of class to your entrance hall. Get a runner that’s the right length for your hall, and complements your flooring.
Again, much like with wall art, there are many styles and designs you can roll with here. The main thing to consider is that it just suits your home and doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.
See, I told you it was easy to create the perfect entrance hall! I know, some of you are probably thinking about all the additional things you can consider, like furniture, and so on.
For me, everything else is a bonus, and it’s entirely up to you if you want to add things to your hall. But, as long as you nail the three ideas mentioned above, then your hallway will look majestic.

The first point about putting up some artwork is definitely the best idea for me, I think that paintings and images can really add some life into a hall, and never fails to make the whole thing look very chic and well designed.
