When it comes to maturity, most people assume that as you age, you mature. But the truth is that maturity has nothing to do with age. It is deeper than age.
It is about the way you see and understand things. The way you react. The things you value, how you represent yourself and how you consider others.
Now here are …. things you realise once you get matured
1. Silence is more powerful
You don’t have to win an arguement.
You don’t need to prove a point.
Not everything requires a comment.
And most importantly you don’t have to let everyone know what you are up to.
Reveal less, make them wonder.
2. Time is precious
Sounds cliché, I know. But time is indeed precious and you realise this as you mature.
So you make good use of your time.
Plan your day ahead and try as much as possible to stick to your schedule.
You say no to people and things that waste your time.
3. It’s okay to ask for help
Asking for help doesn’t mean you are weak.
Asking for help with something you don’t understand doesn’t mean you are dumb.
Understand that it is okay if you don’t know everything.
Asking for help means you are ready to learn and grow as a person.
And you will gain a deeper understanding of whatever challenge you are facing.
4. Self love is important
You learn to love yourself more.
You dont hurt yourself for someone else.
You find happiness in yourself.
Your happiness doesnt depend on people but your inner self.
5. You accept responsibility
You take responsibility for your actions.
You admit when you are wrong because you know your mistakes don’t define you.
You forgive more.
You try to understand those who hurt you instead of hurting them back.
Maturity is learning to walk away from people and situations that threatens your peace of mind, self respect, values, morals and self worth.
